The department of Business Communication just heard from senior Caroline Izzi, who is studying this summer in London. She writes, "Today was the last day of my Museums and Galleries class. We spent most of our time wandering through museums like the National Gallery, the British Museum, Tate Modern, the Wallace Collection and the V&A. I enjoyed this class because it took me places I probably wouldn't have ventured on my own. On Monday, I start my Digital Marketing and Social Media class.
In my spare time, I went to the Wimbledon Tennis tournament where we went on a behind-the-scenes tour and saw the media area where interviews are conducted and the press sets up equipment. One night, I went with friends to Shakespeare's Globe where we watched Romeo and Juliet. It had the traditional lines, but definitely not the traditional style... Another fun stop was the London house where "The Parent Trap" was filmed.
In July, I will be interning at a company called Original Travel, which is a luxury travel company. I am stoked to finally try out the field in which I am interested! I am going to Amsterdam tomorrow and I have a weekend trip to Pairs planned in a few weeks. As I continue to explore, I hope to get past the touristy attractions and find the local hot spots."
Thanks for keeping us posted about this terrific experience, Caroline! We can't wait to hear more about your experiences.
