“Resources for Horses,” a part of New Student Orientation weekend, gave the first-years and other new students a chance to learn more about their new home, academically, socially, and recreationally. Staff and faculty members volunteered to conduct sessions on Saturday afternoon, August 26. Business Communication associate professor Chip Rouse conducted two sessions in which students could ask questions about faculty expectations in the classroom. Topics covered included the syllabus, homework, attendance, grades, Blackboard, and much more. Students could choose from a variety of presentations during the afternoon, and evaluations indicated that the event was a great success!
