Want to go the extra mile? Our Bachelor’s to Master’s Option allows you to graduate with a master’s in as little as five years.

Graduates of the Business Communication program will:

  • Demonstrate communication competency among various publics, through oral and written communication, including speeches, presentations, research, and informal dialogue.
  • Demonstrate competency in the various forms of business and public writing.
  • Demonstrate competency in explaining key concepts and practices of business and other organizations through class projects, case studies, and multimedia presentations.
  • Demonstrate competency in key concepts and principles in the fields of video or photography through the production of a finished portfolio or piece.
  • Apply principles of publication design and layout by employing both Mac and PC software programs in business applications.
  • Demonstrate competency in information technology through word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Complete an internship that satisfies employer and program expectations.

Stevenson’s Student-Run Design and Communications Agency

The Mill Agency at Stevenson University provides an opportunity for students to work with clients in a collaborative student-driven environment. School of Design, Arts, and Communication majors interact and work on communication and design solutions to meet clients’ needs while collaborating in an agency setting. Students use design thinking to execute professional solutions through research, discussion, iterative making, and formal presentations.

Over the last month, there has been a lot of news coming from Stevenson's Communication alums! Our department is thrilled to see our graduates thriving in their fields.

Communication's very own Lauryn Davis is one of the people thanking donors for supporting our students and for their committed philanthropy. Along with Dr.

Comm alum Julia Tucker ('14 undergraduate degree, '15 graduate degree), known to many for singing the The Star-Spangled Banner at Mustang Stadium, Camden Yards, and at other events, will be singing backup for Sarah Brightman .
