Three SOS students, Alexa Gannon (Biology ’18), Ryan James (Biology ’18), and Tania Rodriguez Cintora (Biochem ’19), attended the American Society for Cell Biology and European Molecular Biology Organization 2017 Joint Meeting in Philadelphia, PA with their mentor, Dr. Burgess. They presented their research in two poster sessions, attended Symposia and Workshops on topics ranging from ‘Cell Biology of Neurons’, ‘CRISPR-based Editing and Tracking the Genome’, to ‘Getting into Graduate School: The Do’s, The Don’ts, and the What If’s,’ as well as networking with leading scientists in a variety of disciplines.
Biology alumna, Sergut Admasu, was recently hired as a Research Administrative Coordinator at the University of Maryland Midtown campus. Following her bachelor's in biology, Admasu went on to get her Master's in healthcare management. Congratulations Sergut!
