On November 3rd, Dr. Mark Norris and his ENV 260 Forest Ecology & Management students visited Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, MD. They visited five forest stands representing different types of silvicultural treatment as prescribed by Oregon Ridge’s Forest Health Assessment and Management Plan. In each of the stands, the class utilized the U.S. Forest Service’s Forest Inventory and Analysis protocol to examine forest composition, structure, and environment.
