The Stevenson University Department of Biological Sciences will welcome Dr. Eric Pallant, Professor and Chair of Environmental Science at Allegheny College, to a special event as part of the Maryland STEM Festival, of which Stevenson University is one of the sponsors. The Maryland STEM Festival includes events across the state during the week of November 6-15. Dr. Pallant will be on campus to deliver a talk, “Students Can Save the World, or at Least Baltimore” on Thursday, November 12th. He will meet with students and faculty at lunchtime about how students, faculty and staff can save their environment and then he will address the general public about the same issues at 5:00 PM that night. As Chair of the Environmental Science program at Alleghany College, Dr. Pallant will discuss his personal experiences working in environmental science and discussing the various strategies that he has been implementing at Alleghany College to better the surrounding environment.
