The Fall Research and Internship Poster Session was well attended by other students, family and supporters.  Here are some of our students presenting posters and standing with friends and family members.

The School of the Sciences Fall Research and Internship Poster Session was a huge success.  In our department, all Applied Math seniors participated in an internship during their senior year and presented their experiences.  In addition, two Applied Math underclassmen participated in research in the department and they also presented the results of their experiences.  The event was exciting and interesting for both the presenters and the attendees.

Applied Math Senior, Rebecca Gruver, completed her Honors Capstone Internship at Booz Allen Hamilton in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.  For her Capstone project, Rebecca studied the following topic, "Are Plug-ins and Software Sufficient to Combat Fake News?"  Rebecca presented her work twice- once as a seminar and once at the School of the Sciences Fall Poster Session.  Both presentations were excellent.  Rebecca has been an intern at Booz Allen Hamilton over the past two summers.  After she graduates in May, Rebecca will begin working fulltime at Booz Allen Hamilton.  Congratulations!
