Congratulations to the Applied Math majors who were named to the 2020 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.  The Academic Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity level sport and registered a semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher.

Honored were:

  • Evan Williams, Ice Hockey
  • Sam Iseman, Outdoor Track and Field

Warmest congratulations to Alayna Roesener, Applied Math '20, on winning the Orsia F. Young Leadership Award at the University Celebration!  Alayna has been an outstanding student and leader in the department and in athletics.  We're proud of her accomplishments and wish her much success in graduate school and in her career as a teacher.

Warmest congratulations to Billy Heidel, Applied Math '20, on winning the Provost's Award for Exceptional Scholarship at the Graduation Celebration!  This amazing award recognized Billy's academic successes in his classes and in his research.  We're all so proud of all he's done and look forward to his future successes!

Alayna

Congratulations to applied math senior, Alayna Roesener, on receiving the 2020 Math and Physics Department Service Award! This award is given each May to the graduating senior in the department who has made significant, sustained contributions to the department and to the school. Alayna has participated in and taken a leadership role all of our activities and events. She is a regular at Math Tea, our recruitment events, Spring Spectacular, Mathstravaganza and the department’s annual Hurricane Relief Bake Sale. Alayna is an integral part of our department and we’re excited to give her this well-deserved award!
