Applied Mathematics News

Date: Aug 2015

Welcome back to all of our Applied Mathematics majors!  As this year begins, we look forward to fresh new minds coming in to leave their mark on the Math Department and the University, as a whole.  This Freshman Math Seminar class looks eager and ready to learn! Their professor, Dr. Wilson, is also new to Stevenson, so this course provides a great chance for the math freshmen to work together with their professor to learn what it means to be a Stevenson Mustang. Best of luck to all the Math majors as we get this new school year started!

The Department of Mathematics and Physics  is very excited to start the 2015-2016 year! The start of a new academic year always brings wonderful energy and excitement to campus. It also gives us a fresh start with new programs, ideas, and plans.

More details will follow on this blog about our students, the internships that our students are engaged in, activities organized by our clubs, exciting classes and laboratory experiments, and the new faculty who have joined us this year.

WELCOME to our new students and WELCOME BACK to our returning students. We hope you’re as excited about the upcoming semester as we are!
