Who We Are

The mission of the CES is to cultivate an environmentally literate citizenry and support educational opportunities and programs in environmental science and sustainability.  We promote civic engagement and volunteerism to help keep the environment and our neighbors healthy.

4,000+ lbs of trash has been removed from local watersheds during the Jones Falls Trash Project and Stream Cleanups since 2013.

The CES works with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Environmental Club to coordinate events to celebrate Earth Day.
Reef Ball Project
With the help of this innovative project, over 300 reef balls have been crafted and carefully placed in the Chesapeake Bay.
