Stevenson University 2022 Commencement Ceremonies, May 16-17

Stevenson’s Commencement events take place next Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17, with all ceremonies being held in person in the Greenspring Gymnasium. The 2022 graduating class consists of 747 bachelor’s and 218 master’s students. Please note that masks will be required indoors for these events. Masks are optional outdoors.  

Each student has received four guest tickets for Commencement. All events will be live streamed and overflow seating will be available in the Inscape Theatre for family members and friends without a ticket.  

Faculty speakers who will offer reflection during the ceremonies include Gary Popoli, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor, Psychology, Excellence in Teaching Award Recipient, who will speak at the 10 a.m. ceremony on May 17; Lori L. Rubeling, Professor, Art & Graphic Design, Rose Dawson Professor of the Year, who will speak at the 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. ceremonies on May 16; and Zamira S. Simkins, Ph.D., Professor, Finance & Chair, Business Administration, Distinguished Faculty Service Award Recipient, who will speak at the 7 p.m. ceremony on May 16 and the 3 p.m. ceremony on May 17.  

Student speakers who will offer reflection include Nya Maxine Medley, an undergraduate Psychology major and Counseling and Human Services minor, who will speak during the undergraduate ceremonies, and Ron Latina, a Master’s in Forensic Studies candidate, who will speak during the Master’s ceremony.
