University premiere of original films from FMI faculty Dina Fiasconaro and Christopher Ernst. Fiasconaro's short, Commercial for the Queen of Meatloaf, is a surrealist take on a 1950s commercial, where a bored housewife attempts to spice up her marriage by preparing a delicious meatloaf for dinner - what emerges from the kitchen is the "Queen of Meatloaf" incarnate, who proceeds to invade homes and wreak havoc.
Corpse, Ernst's feature adaptation of the classic weird fiction anthology "The King in Yellow" by Robert Chambers, uses a dreamlike kaleidoscope of mesmeric imagery and ambient sound design to tell the story of a group of young entrepreneurs who encounter a forbidden book that induces madness in those in read it.
