Alex Bickel, Professional Colorist, Presents on His Life and Career: What is color correction? In today's world of digital cinematography, it is an ever-more important process of refining the on-screen image in post-production, creating the final look of the movie before release. Colorists, working closely with directors and cinematographers, perfect the image of the film, an image that is shot with an eye towards exactly this collaboration. Enter Alex Bickel, who has forged quite the career in this area, working on projects that include recent masterpieces such as The Big Stick, Moonlight, Lady Bird, Private Life, The Old Man & the Gun, Mid90s, If Beal Street Could Talk, and Hold the Dark. Join us as Alex presents new work and discusses his career.
