MAD AS HELL Time: 11:00am - 7:00pm Locations: Art Gallery - Greenspring Campus Details:
MAD AS HELL - Mia Halton: "Focused with precision, [women's anger] can become a powerful source of energy, serving progress and change." Audre Lorde
In her newest installation of mural painting, drawing and ceramics, Mia Halton explores the power of rage to foment revolutionary social movements. She references history, including the parallels between the women's movements of the 1990s and today, calling notions of progress into question. As a member of the Me Too movement, Halton understands women's anger as a tool for both change and healing. MAD AS HELL is a rallying cry for the application of individual and collective power -- fueled by rage -- to accomplish the goals of contemporary women's movements.
