On Sunday, October 4 at 3 p.m., a collaborative production by Stevenson University and the Gordon Center will feature the music of one of America’s greatest composers. “By George! By Ira! By Gershwin!” will tell the story of the musical genius of George and Ira Gershwin and highlight some of the duo's most popular songs.

Stevenson University presents the exhibition “The Draw of Hand-Lettering: A Contemporary Survey,” August 24-October 2, 2015, in the School of Design Gallery, Owings Mills North campus. A public reception will be held Thursday, September 17, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Despite the design world’s increasingly digital environment, hand lettering—the art of drawing one-of-a-kind letters—has grown more popular in recent years. On August 20, 2015, Stevenson University officially welcomed more than 900 new students to campus with Convocation Ceremonies held in the Owings Mills Gym. Earlier in the day, more than 500 new students (freshmen and transfers) moved into their residence halls with a helping hand from Stevenson’s SMILE volunteers. Music: Owl City (Shooting Star)

Awarded to incoming freshmen on the basis of a Founders’ Scholarship Interview, the Founders’ Scholarship recognizes a student’s potential to become an active, engaged member of the Stevenson community. All applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale or 80 on a 100-point scale and a minimum score of 1500 on the 3-section SAT or a 22 ACT composite score are invited to interview for this scholarship. The Founders’ Scholarship, in the amount of $2,000, is awarded in addition to another Stevenson University merit-based scholarship. Like all of Stevenson’s scholarships, the Founders’ Scholarship is renewable for a total of four years. More information at

In its December 2011 report, the Institute of Medicine called for more bachelor's educated nurses in the workforce. Stevenson's innovative, accelerated BS in Nursing is designed for working adults like you who want earn your bachelor's degree as well as to expand your career horizon. This program builds on your current expertise and focuses on professionalism, excellence in practice, and strategies to meet the challenges of the workplace. The programs are flexible and convenient, with courses are offered in two formats: online, which allows for the entire program to be completed online, and hybrid, which is a combination of online and face-to-face. The RN to MS option provides qualified Stevenson University RN to BS students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's in nursing while being strongly focused upon continuing with the graduate program. When you are accepted into the RN to MS option, you'll take a graduate nursing course while completing their undergraduate work that satisfies the final undergraduate elective and count as the first course in the graduate program. In the MS program, you can choose a concentration in either Leadership/Management, Education, or Population-Based Care Coordination.

Stevenson's Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science is offered in conjunction with Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. The program consists of two years of prerequisite courses in the basic sciences and liberal arts, a third year of liberal arts and professional courses in laboratory medicine, and a fourth year that integrates professional and clinical practicum courses at the Sinai Hospital campus. Unlike other programs in the state, SU's program includes a management practicum in the fourth year, preparing you for leadership positions. With a degree in Medical Laboratory Science, you will be qualified to work in all areas of the medical laboratory, including microbiology, chemistry, hematology, blood banking, immunology, and molecular diagnostics. You will also be prepared to take the national certification examination for medical laboratory scientists and to pursue graduate study in medical laboratory science or any of its related areas.

Stevenson University held its 62nd Commencement Ceremonies on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh provided the keynote address to a senior class of 538 graduates. Harbaugh—delivering his first commencement speech—was awarded a Doctorate in Humane Letters, Stevenson’s highest academic degree.

On May 6, 2015, Stevenson University unofficially broke the record for the Largest Exercise Ball Class, previously held by NBC's The Today Show. A total of 390 participants joined the class, which was led by Athletic Administrative Coordinator MC McFadden.

This class is open to friends and family as well so bring them along for the biggest, most fun exercise class taught by MC McFadden! Day-of registration will be begin at 3 p.m. / class will start at 4 p.m. Pre-registration is available at ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE WOUNDED WARRIORS PROJECT.
