Multicultural Experience News

After eight hours of waiting on the phone, the Office of Multicultural Experience was able to reserve 55 tickets to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC!! In less than a day all of the tickets were claimed through March of 2017. We are so excited about this opportunity to bring students to this museum, especially during Black History Month.

In an effort to enhance multicultural awareness and competency of the Stevenson University community, the Office of Multicultural Experience will be partnering with various campus constituencies to develop heritage month programming. Our goal is to implement culturally enriched programs and events that align with nationally recognized efforts and contributions, bringing awareness to the rich multicultural heritage of our diverse campus community.

The Heritage Month programming series commenced on September 15th with a fiesta sponsored by OLAS. Additional events will include dance lessons, discussions, and films.

Natalie Gillard joined Stevenson University's Office of Multicultural Experience as the Assistant Vice President with nearly a decade of experience under her belt. When she is not running around campus, you can find her, most likely with a student in her office, in Rockland 207.
