Healthcare Services

The Wellness Center offers limited primary care services by appointment with our nurse practitioner or physician. A minimal fee will be charged to the student's account for services and supplies. Currently, we do not accept private health insurance. Clinics offered during specific times of the semester include, HIV testing for free and Tuberculin skin testing for $5. The center provides numerous informational brochures and videos addressing health issues and will offer assistance with community referrals. Some common conditions that can be seen and treated include:

  • Cold/flu symptoms
  • Upset stomach
  • Women's health
  • Skin conditions
  • STD testing
  • Urinary tract infections

Student Health Requirements

All full-time commuter and resident students are required to have the Stevenson University Student Health Form completed and on file in the Wellness Center by August 1 for fall entrance and January 2 for spring entrance. All full-time students are required to complete this form even if they are turning in health-related records to other departments. Additionally, all students residing in SU student housing are required to obtain and provide written documentation of a meningococcal vaccination with their Student Health Form. If the primary dose of meningitis was administered before the student's 16th birthday, a booster will be required before moving into residence on campus and the meningitis vaccination must not be more than five years old from the date of move-in.

Some other SU departments such as Athletics, School of Science and Graduate Professional Studies require health-related records to be kept on file. Despite turning in those files to the respective department, the Wellness Center still requires all full-time students to complete the Student Health Form. Please contact your individual department for their additional health-related record requirements.

Failure to submit a completed Student Health Form will block a student from registering for future classes and/or lead to removal from housing.
