Commuters are an integral part of our community.
Your Place On Campus
As a commuter student, you have access to all of the same social and academic resources as students that live on campus. In fact, we have set aside space on both the Greenspring and the Owings Mills campuses specifically for commuter students. The lounges include couches, vending machines, microwaves, and space to quietly relax and study between classes.
Many commuter students also join our student clubs and organizations, particularly the academic and pre-professional organizations that are dedicated to success in the classroom, internships, and career exploration. With dozens of student groups on campus (and more added every year), there is sure to be something for everyone. Hit the gym. Join a team or club. Pick up an instrument. Try out for a musical. There are countless ways for you to get involved on campus.

Parking and Transportation
Stevenson University has plenty of parking for all students to find a spot at any time of the day. Parking is free with a hang tag you will receive after registering your vehicle. Our large parking lots on each campus are close to the academic buildings for your classes and are patrolled by Campus Security.
If you need to travel between campuses and do not want to drive, there are shuttles available for you to ride throughout the day. All you have to do is show your Stevenson ID and grab a seat. Campus shuttles also periodically travel to the Owings Mills Metro Station, which can be used to access public transportation from across the region including downtown Baltimore and Washington D.C.

Peer Mentor Program
The transition to a four-year university is filled with excitement, anticipation, and hope. However, there can also be obstacles and challenges which impede growth and learning. Commuters may experience additional difficulties navigating academics, involvement, and connections to campus which are integral parts of the college experience. Seeing this need, the Commuter Student Association created the Peer Mentor Program.
Commuter Student Association
The Commuter Student Association represents the interests and needs of the commuting students attending Stevenson University.
The CSA plans programs and activities, and represents commuter concerns with University administrators with the goal of improving the college experience for commuter students.
As a commuter student, you can also join the CSA and make a difference on campus. Email email@example.com if you have any further questions for the CSA.
Club and Intramural Athletics
Did you play on your high school sports teams? Just like playing pick-up basketball in your neighborhood?
Stevenson has rapidly growing Club and Intramural sports programs. There are also work-out facilities on campus with weight machines and cardio equipment to help you meet your fitness goals.
Dining Services at Stevenson
There are numerous locations to eat on both of our campuses with options to satisfy every taste and preference.
Commuters can purchase a meal plan that can be used at any dining location on campus and there is even a flex dollar option that is accepted by participating businesses near campus.
Keeping Campus Safe and Secure
Stevenson University is one of the safest campuses in the state with security staff monitoring campus 24/7. Campus Security patrols parking lots throughout the day to ensure the safety of your vehicle.
Security manages on campus parking, distributing hang tags, and enforcing parking regulations.
