Photography Requests

The Office of Marketing and Public Relations helps coordinate photography for the campus—either internally or with external freelance photographers—primarily for the purpose of publicity, print publications, and documenting events of historical or social significance to the University.

As Stevenson grows, photography requests are proliferating. Although we do not have professional photographers on staff or the full resources and equipment of a professional photographer, we still endeavor to help with photography requests via:

  • Student Photo Intern—For small events and short programs.
  • Loaner Digital Camera—For informal photos for use on departmental blogs, etc.
  • Professional Freelance Photographers—Recommend for events such as award ceremonies or VIP events requiring professional-level photos. Your department should budget between $100 to $200 per hour based on the freelancer that you use.

Please contact John Buettner, Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, at least THREE WEEKS before your event to allow us sufficient time to determine your needs and schedule an intern, freelancer, or loaner camera for you.
