To be eligible to participate in the housing process, you must:
1) Turn in your $200 non-refundable housing deposit - by March 21
2) Complete your personal characteristics forms via WebExpress - by March 21
3) Register for classes for Fall 2011

To request housing by application, you must:
1) Determine that you would like to homestead
OR
Determine that you require a housing accommodation
2) Fill out the appropriate application completely and TURN IT IN by March 11th
3) Register for classes to complete the housing process
4) PLEASE NOTE: You will NOT receive a lottery number or be included in the housing lottery process if the application process is not successful

To request housing by participation in the housing lottery, you must:
1) Find a group of 3, 4, or 6 roommates, depending on the space that you wish to claim for next year (resources are detailed in the “Part 1” PowerPoint)
2) Discuss the possible living situations for next year and determine which is the most appropriate for your group
3) April 18th: Receive lottery numbers via WebExpress (these numbers are determined per individual, based on total credits and GPA as of Dec. 2011)
**A roommate social will be held April 14th in Ratcliffe
4) Determine which process, 1-5, your group will participate in. The ENTIRE group must be eligible to participate in the process (meaning the highest or “worst” number will determine your group’s process)
5) Elect ONE person from the group to collect the following information: first and last name, SU ID number, room preferences, and building preferences. **NOTE: the available rooms will change after each process, so a regular communication method about these preferences should be established
6) During the appropriate process, go online to WebExpress and fill in your group’s information and preferences.
7) If you receive notification of assignment, you are finished!
If you do not receive notification of assignment, you should participate in the next available process – you did not claim a room for 2011-2012.

For more information:
1) Attend an information session!
2) Ask your RA or RD about the process
3) Visit the Office of Residence Life during business hours (9am-4pm)

If you do not have a lottery number and feel you should, please email Miecia Zaplatynski at mzaplatynski@stevenson.edu
