SU Housing: Beyond Your Expectations

The residences at Stevenson University, which are located on the Owings Mills Campus, about 6 and 1/2 miles from the Greenspring Campus, combine the comforts of home with the excitement of on-campus living.

Freshmen enjoy suites which feature two bedrooms and a private bathroom. For upperclassmen, each 1,200 square-foot apartment includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a full kitchen. All residences are fully furnished and carpeted and offer an array of amenities such as wired high-speed internet and cable TV connections, telephone connections, voice mail, and spacious closets. Wireless internet access is available throughout most residence halls but not all dorm rooms. Telephone service is not provided or available in every student bedroom, please inquire with your resident advisor for specifics.

Security includes on-site resident assistants, a gated entrance, 24-hour security coverage, and card key access for each building. It is easy to feel at home at Stevenson University.

The first of the Owings Mills residential facilities were occupied in Fall 2003.

Each furnished suite houses 4 students with a large bathroom area, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave.

The new suite-style residence hall, Wooded Way, features 4 or 6 person suites, arranged in doubles with furnished living area.

Washers & dryers are located on the first floor of each building. The cost of laundry is included in the housing fee. Washers and dryers are operated with the student's ID card. The E-suds laundry monitoring program is provided for convenience.

Each furnished apartment unit houses 4 upperclass students with two bathrooms, a living room, and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave oven, stove, and dishwasher.

Student housing is available to all full-time, matriculated students. Space is limited, and students are encouraged to commit to campus residency as soon as possible. Matching of roommates is based on information provided through the student’s personal characteristics link of the WebXpress system. It is important to complete the survey information as completely and honestly as possible to facilitate the best possible roommate pairing. Housing assignments and contact information of roommates will be mailed to each resident in early August. If you do not receive your housing assignment by August 14th, contact the Office of Residence Life.

Resident parking is available with Stevenson University permits. Residents must maintain a 2.0 grade point average, must be enrolled as a full-time SU student and must adhere to the code of behavior for student housing.

Please note that the beds in our residence halls are extra-long, and that XL twin sheets will fit best. The Residence Hall Association (RHA) has partnered with Residence Hall Linens to make sure our students have an easy to find, affordable way to purchase any bedding and campus living needs. Please visit the RHL website http://www.rhl.org/vjc

The best way to experience SU housing is by visiting our campus! Best of all, prospective students can now earn a $250 credit towards their tuition when they register for and complete a qualifying campus visit. This credit will be awarded to them contingent upon their admission and enrollment to the University for the fall semester. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
