Creating a Supportive Multigenerational Workplace

Why does the workplace seem so challenging?

Never before in our history has there been 4 generations in the workforce at one time. Life events and experiences of each generation help to shape our world view.  This session will examine the characteristics of each of those four generations – how do they approach work problems?  How do they communicate?  By the conclusion of the session, nurses will be able to discuss strategies to find common ground; to work more collaboratively to produce the outcomes we desire.

Presented by Lisa Gotschall, PhD, RN, Associate Professor, GPS Nursing, Stevenson University.  Dr. Gotschall’s dissertation research was in the area of the multigenerational workforce.
