The theatre should be reserved a minimum of two weeks in advance of the proposed event to allow time for simple set-ups, such as a podium and a microphone.
Events that require more than the use of the apron of the stage should be reserved at least one month in advance because of the time needed to set the lights.
Before scheduling events for the theatre, visit the "cultural" section of the calendar on the web to see how many events have been previously booked in the theatre. Different events require different set ups and cannot always be accomplished in a day.
To schedule an event, contact Danna Thomas, Conference Services Manager at 443-334-2291 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
For audio-visual needs, contact Steve Marengo, Audio Visual Technician at 443-334-2944 or email@example.com.
Because no technical equipment is permanently installed in the theatre, lead time is required to accomodate complex technical requirements, including screens, PowerPoint, microphones, and other technical equipment.
It is important to state all of the accomodations that will be needed for the event at the same time that the reservation is made. Last minute requests for equipment and other modifications may not be possible to prepare.
For the three weeks each semester that the Theatre Department schedules its productions, other events will not be scheduled in the theatre.
