A Message to Parents
and Prospective Students

We are pleased to learn of your interest in Stevenson University, Maryland’s third largest independent university. Over the past several years, Stevenson has grown in recognition as a “best value” university by several national sources and for its distinctive liberal arts plus career focus. Our theme line, Imagine your Future. Design your Career®., is an apt one for the practical and exciting programs we offer both traditional age and adult students. Through an award-winning process we developed for our students, Career Architecture^SM, students are assisted early upon their arrival in developing a career plan based on their own special values, skills and interests.

Stevenson is a special place. We are located just minutes from the city of Baltimore, but in a beautiful suburban setting. Our original 60-acre campus, Stevenson University-Greenspring is the home to many academic buildings, our main stage theatre, art galleries, athletic facilities, and our library. In the summer of 2004 we opened Stevenson University-Owings Mills, a residential and academic campus. Our ten residence halls offer suite- and apartment- style accommodations, with the amenities most desired by today’s undergraduates. The campus also features a community center, the Caves Sports and Wellness Center, and Rockland Center, our dining hall and student center, which opened in 2006. In 2007, we broke ground for our School of Business.

Our graduate and accelerated programs continue to expand. In fact, to meet the needs of busy working adults, Stevenson has developed the area’s first accelerated programs. These programs can be completed in as few as 24 months, part-time, and offer credits for work experience.
