Alumni Information

The Office of Career Services is available to assist alumni and provides the same services that current students receive. Since our approach is tailored to the individual, staff can help prepare young alumni for their first job or seasoned alumni for a career change. The Career Services staff is also eager to work with alumni who are interested in mentoring or hiring current students for internships or permanent positions.

Career Preparation
Has it been a while since your last resume review? Are there employment gaps in your professional experience? Don’t worry! The Career Services staff is able to help you update your resume. We are also available to help you prepare for interviews and practice your interviewing skills. Special Events and Activities
The Office of Career Services provides a wide range of fun and informative events and activities throughout the year geared toward understanding the world of work. Alumni will have the opportunity to interact with top executives, civic and government leaders, and hiring managers in such settings as the Networking and Etiquette Dinner and On-Campus Recruiting or during larger events like the Career Fair or Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Conference. Upcoming events may be found on our Facebook page or the SU Now Portal.

Job Postings
Alumni are able to search for jobs and/or register for events though our online job board, Mustang Central. If you no longer have your student id, e-mail our office at careerservices@stevenson.edu or call 443-352-4477.

Becoming a Mentor
As you know, entering the job market for the first time can be overwhelming and a little frightening. Alumni, parents, and employers are a valuable tool in assisting SU students’ transition from college to the workplace. The Mustang Mentor program is designed to be a resource for students interested in the same career field as alumni. While each mentors-and-students pair is unique, typical activities could include career guidance, mock interviews, attending lectures or luncheons, and job shadowing.
