Dear prospective students (and parents),

I am pleased to introduce you to Stevenson's concept of Career ArchitectureSM and to the Office of Career Services. Our approach provides a model of engagement to get the skills you will need to manage your career and life to the fullest capacity long past your first job after graduation.

At Stevenson, our faculty and staff take an active role in student learning and the Career Architecture model. One example is our First Year Seminar, during which you participate in the annual LEGO Challenge to learn about your strengths and interests, incorporate the model into your learning, and build strong connections with your classmates. We also offer Career Industry Specialists in our office who work closely with faculty in all academic disciplines to support your professional development and to help explore avenues for networking by industry. Such customized programming, curricula, and events are key elements of the Career Architecture model.

As a Stevenson student, you will also be able to take part in learning activities outside the classroom. This combination of experiences will enable you to reflect on your learning and build your unique professional brand. This will have an impact on both your career and your community.
