Event coordinators plan and execute a variety of events, from conventions, to meetings, concerts, weddings, parties, fundraisers, and citywide celebrations. What are the skills you need to succeed? How do you choose the right industry that bests suits your interests?

 

This panel discussion brings professionals from a variety of backgrounds to share their experience in event planning. Guests include:

  • Adam Bradford, Founder of BmoreEvents, a technology harnessing their digital resources to increase exposure for non-profit organizations through charity events and promotional efforts.
  • Averil Christens-Barry, Program Manager, Events and Marketing program manager for the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, a non-profit organization that creates community and support for young adults and their loved ones and they fight cancer and embrace survivor-ship. Every year they plan a variety of events to raise funds as well as empower cancer survivors to take back their life.
  • Janee Pelletier, COO of Conference & Logistics Consultants, a full-service meeting planning and professional consulting firm specializing in conference management.
  • Shannon Toback, Sales & Private Dinning Manager at the Four Seasons' Award Winning Restaurant, Wit & Wisdom in Harbor East.
