The Office of Career Services connects employers with students and alumni through a variety of free resources. Our opportunities are tailored to fit the individual needs of the employer to maximize exposure, establish organizational brand, expand cultural competency, and make your partnership with Stevenson University a success.
Our distinctive career development approach for students, Career ArchitectureSM, encompasses an awareness of how values, skills, and interests influence life and career choices. Through rich experiences in the dimensions of Personal Direction, Discipline Expertise, and Professional Know-How, students are empowered to map their vision of the future and hit the ground running when they graduate from Stevenson University. We are confident you will find our students well prepared for life in the world of work and ready to contribute to the success of your organization.
Throughout the year, the Office of Career Services hosts a variety of free events for prospective employers, including:
Career Fairs and Symposiums
We organize a campus-wide career fair each semester with representatives from for-profit, nonprofit, and government organizations. Hundreds of students and alumni participate. For more information on our future career rairs and symposiums, please contact Stephen Wallis by email at email@example.com or by phone at 443-394-9902.
On-Campus Recruiting offers a streamlined approach to interview qualified candidates. The process is easy: select a date, decide on full-day or half-day interviews, and choose either 30- or 45-minute interview slots. Once your date is approved and we have your position title(s) and job description(s), we handle all the rest, including providing you with a diverse selection of students prepared for the world of work. For more information on On-Campus Recruiting, contact our Employment Coordinator, Stephen Wallis by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 443-394-9902.
Internships give students valuable, hands-on, work place experiences and teach them practical skills in their chosen field. Students participate in for-credit and non-credit internships while applying their education to real-life situations. Students participating in an internship for credit generally coordinate these experiences directly through the department. Employers are encouraged to post internship opportunities on our online job board, Stevenson Career Connections. For more information on internships, contact our Experiential Learning Coordinator, Jennifer Wheeler by email at email@example.com or by phone at 443-352-4479.
As many employers already know, Stevenson University graduates are great employees! Our complimentary job board, Stevenson Career Connections, allows you to post full and part-time employment opportunities. We are not only a valuable resource for current undergraduate and graduate students, but we continue to serve our alumni as well. For more information on posting jobs, contact our Employment Coordinator, Stephen Wallis by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 443-394-9902.
Our Career Services staff is often contacted by faculty members to arrange speakers from business, government, and nonprofit organizations on a variety of career topics. To initiate a classroom visit, please contact us with the major and class year you would like to target and the reason for your visit (career path advice, resume assistance, industry updates, career sustainability, global partnerships, etc.). We will need permission from the instructor and may need two-weeks' notice. For more information on Classroom Visits, contact our Director of Career Services, Sabira Vohra by email at email@example.com or by phone at 443-394-9280.
Event Sponsorship and Advertising
The Office of Career Services is proud to bring employers the opportunity to increase awareness of their organization by co-branding with Career Services on career-focused programs. By joining Career Services, your organization is aligned with the national leader in career education and will enhance name recognition among Stevenson students, faculty, and staff. Sponsorship opportunities will be an avenue to advertise more widely through a variety of venues for purposes of assisting organizations in gaining more name recognition among students on campus. For additional information regarding sponsorship or advertising opportunities or building a brand with Stevenson University students, contact the Vice President of Career Services, Anne Scholl-Fiedler by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 443-394-9257.
Some organizations set up tables in our high-traffic areas such as the Manuszak Center on our Greenspring Campus or in Rockland Center on our Owings Mills Campus. This is a great way to informally meet with students and distribute literature. For more information on Information Tables, contact our Employment Coordinator, Stephen Wallis by email at email@example.com or by phone at 443-394-9902.
Mock Interview Program
Career Services offers students the chance to participate in Mock Interviews before interviewing for an internship, career, or graduate school program. Lasting around 30 minutes, an employer-conducted mock interview is a valuable career tool for our students and another opportunity for employers to increase their visibility to our students and interest them as potential employees. For more information on our Mock Interview program, contact our Employment Coordinator, Stephen Wallis by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 443-394-9902.
