Mission: I'm Home

    Always Improving Our University

Stevenson University seeks support to complete projects that keep our grounds, classrooms, dorms, and other facilities up to date for our students, faculty, and staff.

After participating in a service learning project in New Orleans, a group of Stevenson University students formed Mission: I'm Home (MIH). MIH teams with local service organizations to rebuild and repair homes damaged or destroyed by natural disasters. Each year, a group of students, faculty, and staff travels to communities in New Orleans and Staten Island in order to help families return to their homes.

About Mission: I'm Home

Mission: I'm Home was founded by several Stevenson students in 2009 after volunteering with the St. Bernard Project in New Orleans, Louisiana. Since then, hundreds of Stevenson students have made yearly trips to New Orleans to repair damaged houses. Recently, MIH added a "Mission In May" trip to repair homes damaged by Hurricane Rita in Staten Island, New York.
