Mustangs are coming

Below are the events planned for this year's Homecoming and Family Weekend, all wrapped in this year's theme: Game of Thrones.

Please mark you calendars and check back for more information about times and locations of events. Hope to see you all back at Stevenson this fall. 

All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Sunday, October 19

Homecoming Headliner#

8-10 p.m., Greenspring Gymnasium

Monday, October 20

Mr. & Ms. SU Event - Students Only

7-9 p.m., Rockland Banquet Hall, Owings Mills Campus

Behold the crowning of Mr. & Ms. SU as they take the throne and become Homecoming royalty. The contestants will prove their worth in this annual pageant.

Tuesday, October 21

Barely Balanced Acrobat Troop

7-9 p.m., Apartment Quad, Owings Mills Campus

Take a break from the obligations of living in the kingdom to enjoy the outrageously dangerous stunts of the Barely Balanced Acrobatic Troop: juggling knives, the tower of death, and more … all for your viewing pleasure.

Wednesday, October 22

Women's Volleyball vs. Arcadia

7 p.m., Owings Mills Gymnasium

The Mustangs' battle, defending their home court from invading challengers. 

Thursday, October 23

Powder Puff Football game

5:30-6:30 p.m., Apartment Quad, Owings Mills Campus

The battle for the throne begins with what looks to be an innocent game, but represents a test to the competitors' strength, will, and courage.


7-9 p.m., Caves Parking Lot, Owings Mills Campus

The fire will bring a great destiny to the forefront … the Reign of The Mustang. There will be music, food, and a bonfire as we cheer on the Mustangs.  

Friday, October 24

Alumni Milestone Reunion Mass & Tour - Alumni Only

10 a.m.-noon, Convent of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, adjacent to Greenspring Campus

Join with family and friends in the Sisters’ convent for mass. After mass, you may visit the archives or socialize before the reunion luncheon.

Alumni Milestone Reunion Luncheon# - Alumni Only

Noon-2 p.m., St. Paul Companies Pavilion, Greenspring Campus

Our Milestone luncheon welcomes back the classes of 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, and 1989. President Kevin J. Manning, Ph.D., hosts this annual reunion event that brings together alumni and current and former faculty.

Reservations required. Complimentary for reunion celebrants from the classes of 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, and 1989.

Cost is $30 per guest

Stevenson Happy Hour#

5-7 p.m., 4th Floor of the School of Business and Leadership Building, Owings Mills Campus

We welcome back to your alma mater with a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. Space is limited, so register early.

Complimentary for SU faculty/staff, current SU students and alumni from the classes of 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009 and our newest alumni from the class of 2014.

Cost is $10 for all other alumni, parents and guests. Registration required. This event sold out last year, so be sure to get your tickets early!

Women's Soccer vs. Alvernia

7 p.m., Mustang Stadium, Owings Mills Campus

Haunted Hallways

7:30-9:30 p.m., Rockland Banquet Hall, Owings Mills Campus

Face your fears and tour the Haunted Hallways of the Kingdom of Stevenson.

Mustang Madness

8-10 p.m., Owings Mills Gymnasium

Come meet this year's men's and women's basketball, women's ice hockey, and men's and women's track and field teams. There will be music, giveaways, team introductions, and performances by the Stevenson cheer and dance teams.

Saturday, October 25

Alumni Lacrosse Game

10-11 a.m., Mustang Stadium, Owings Mills Campus

Come of the greatest ever among the ranks of Mustang lacrosse have returned to battle once more in this annual contest. 

Family Fanfare and Affinity Reunion Tailgate

10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., School of Business and Leadership Parking Lot, Owings Mills Campus

Gear up for Stevenson’s Homecoming football game with classmates, family, and friends. Stop by the Alumni and Parent Hospitality Tents for giveaways including coffee, bagels, and donuts. Enjoy tailgating and family entertainment with live music, food, and fun. Visit with faculty and friends in tents hosted by the schools of Business and Leadership, Sciences, Design, Education,  Humanities Social Sciences, and Graduate and Professional Studies as well as other affinity groups.

Men's Football vs. Fairleigh Dickinson#

1 p.m., Mustang Stadium, Owings Mill Campus

Be there as the Stevenson football team continues its season against Middle Atlantic Conference rival Farleigh Dickinson University. This will be one of six exciting home games for the Mustangs during the 2014 season. Also, don’t miss a performance by the SU marching band at halftime.  

Homecoming Crab Feast#

4-7 p.m., Owings Mills Gymnasium

Please join us for the third annual Homecoming Maryland Crab Feast following the Mustangs football game. Enjoy Maryland favorites including steamed crabs, pit beef, fried chicken, crab dip, and other menu favorites. Casino games, a commemorative cup, music, and children’s entertainment will also be available.

Capacity is limited. You may purchase your ticket with early bird pricing available through Oct. 4 for $30 general admission, $20 SU students, faculty, and staff, $7 for children under 12. Starting Oct. 5, the cost increases to $35 for general admission, $25 for SU students, and $7 for children under 12. There are no early bird discounts for children.

Be sure to get your tickets early before this event sells out!
