Homecoming and Family Week

Mark your calendars to join students, parents, alumni, and friends of Stevenson for Homecoming + Family Week from October 15-21! The week will feature events including Mr. & Ms. SU, the Bonfire, Haunted Hallways, the SU Golf Open, and more. The SU community will come together on Saturday, October 21 for the Family Reception, tailgate and football game vs. Albright, Crab Feast, and Dick Watts Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet. #SUisHome

    Watch as your fellow classmates compete for the crown in the annual Mr. & Ms. SU Pageant 2017. Contestants will participate in a variety of rounds including spirit wear, career wear, lip sync, and more. Each student will receive one ticket by visiting The Rock. Tickets are limited so get yours early.

    Artist-in-Residence Reception: Theo Anthony

    Stevenson's Department of Film & Moving Image welcomes Theo Anthony as the fall 2017 Artist-in-Residence. Anthony is a writer, photographer, and filmmaker currently based in Baltimore. His work has been featured by the The Atlantic, Vice, BBC World News, and other international media outlets. His films have premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, Locarno International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, SXSW, and Anthology Film Archives. In 2015, he was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film." His first feature, Rat Film, debuted at the 2016 Locarno International Film Festival to critical acclaim, with Richard Brody of the New Yorker calling it "one of the most extraordinary, visionary inspirations in the recent cinema."

    Alumni, parents, students, and friends of Stevenson will gather at Piney Branch Golf Course to kick off Homecoming + Family Weekend. We are excited to announce that for the first time we will be combining the annual SU Golf Open traditionally held in the spring and the Varsity Golf Alumni Homecoming Tournament. This is an eighteen (18) hole, Captain's Choice event. Golfers will have access to beverage cart service throughout the day. Fast passes sold at registration will include a hole-in-one contest, a longest drive contest, a closest to the pin contest, and more. Following the tournament, participants will gather for a luncheon with an open bar. Award presentations and remarks will be shared by representatives of the Stevenson community, and raffles will be drawn.

    Prepare to experience a fright like no other as you enter the Haunted Hallways. As you anticipate your entry, refreshments will be served -- if you can stomach them. Admission is free for students with a current student ID. Faculty, staff, and guests are asked to donate any monetary amount or a canned good or non-perishable food item for entry.

    Owings Mills North 

    The tailgate will be held in a new location this year, on the Owings Mills North campus. PARKING IS NOW FREE. If you previously purchased a tailgating parking pass, you will be refunded in full by September 30.

    Space is limited and parking will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning at 9:30 a.m. Tailgating will take place exclusively on the Owings Mills North campus and will be prohibited elsewhere. Once the tailgating lots are filled, all traffic will be redirected to the Owings Mills campus and guests can join the tailgate by walking a short distance across the Dell Family Pathway.

    If you plan to bring a RV or oversized vehicle, you must contact Katie Meyers ’11 at or 443.334.2094 to make arrangements.

    The Office of Alumni & Constituent Relations’ allotment of Homecoming football tickets sold out in record time this year. While this showcases our strong Mustang Pride, we realize it also poses a challenge for those who were unable to obtain tickets. Thanks to the support of other offices across campus, we were able to secure a limited number of additional tickets which have since SOLD OUT.

    Join us for the Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet as we recognize alumni athletes and contributors who have made an impact on Stevenson University. Women's basketball and softball standout Alicia Barnard '06, women's volleyball player Jessica Bensley '06, women's tennis player Holly (Bentz) Zajac '98, men's tennis player Brad Friedel '00, men's golf student-athlete David Livermore '00 and men's lacrosse standout Eric Schmith '99 will be inducted, as well as former softball coach Ken Ballance as a Contributor. In addition, the Hall of Fame will also recognize the 2006-07 men's golf team as a Team of Tradition. Learn more about the Dick Watts Athletics Hall of Fame.
