Congratulations on your admission to Stevenson University for the Fall 2013 semester! We welcome you to the University and hope that you are excited to be part of the SU community. This page, which will be updated throughout the semester, is designed to give you some helpful information as you make the transition to Stevenson.Registration, Academic Advising, and Orientation
Registration, Academic Advising, and Orientation for new accepted transfer and readmitted students will take place in late June. You will be required to attend a single, one-day program designed for your choice of major. An agenda of your June registration date will be mailed to you. Exact dates can be found here. MORE>>
If you are enrolled in a college for the spring 2013 semester, please submit an official college transcript upon the completion of this coursework. Receipt of your transcript is critical for your registration, financial aid award, and in some cases, choice of residence hall. For appropriate advising during your registration in June, please bring a student copy of your spring 2013 transcript. If you are planning to enroll in a summer session, please bring that information with you and discuss this coursework with your advisor.
Enrollment Deposit and Housing Profile Forms
Once you have decided to enroll at Stevenson, you must reserve your space in the Fall 2013 class by completing the Enrollment Intent Form (PDF) and submitting your $300 enrollment deposit. If you plan to live on campus, you must also complete the Housing Profile Form (PDF). There is no additional deposit for reserving a space in housing. You should submit your Enrollment Intent and Housing Profile Forms by May 1. The deposit is non-refundable after this date.
Student Health Form
The student health form is required for all full-time residential and commuter students. In addition to the completed health form, all students planning to live on-campus are also required to be immunized against Meningococcal disease. The health form must be completed and returned to the Wellness Center by August 1, 2013. If you have any questions, please contact the Wellness Center at 443-352-4200. Applying for Financial Aid
To be considered for need-based financial aid, you must fill out the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Before being able to submit the FAFSA, you and your parents (if you are a dependent) will need a federal Personal Identification Number (PIN), which you can apply for at www.pin.ed.gov. Placement Testing
Placement testing is required for any student who:
Placement tests (if needed) must be taken before registration. Students are strongly recommended to test before registration to allow for more time to consider options should developmental coursework be necessary. Testing will be available on the registration days for students who are not able to test earlier. To make a placement test appointment, click here.
Changing Your Major
If you wish to change your major, please call your admissions counselor before your registration day. Requests to change majors will be automatically granted except in the case of Nursing and Medical Technology. Please visit our academics area for the specific requirements to be accepted into these programs as a transfer student.
AP/IB and CLEP Credit Policy
