Recommended Application Deadlines

Fall Semester:
May 1 if seeking merit scholarship and/or SU housing
July 1 for all other applicants

Spring Semester:
November 1 if seeking merit scholarship and/or SU housing
December 1 for all other applicants

*Applicants who miss the stated deadlines will still be considered for admission if space and/or funds are available.

Recommended Financial Aid Deadline

Applicants for both the fall and spring semesters are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), by February 15 for maximum financial aid consideration.  Spring applicants submitting their FAFSA after February 15 and before October 15 will still be considered for federal and institutional aid, as well as educational loans, but may not meet specific Maryland State deadlines for special aid programs.  Please visit the Maryland Higher Education Commission website for these Maryland State deadlines.

Admissions Decisions

The recommended cumulative GPA for transfer students is 2.5, but lower GPA's may be considered. Applicants who have earned the Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), and Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degrees from regionally accredited institutions will automatically be admitted to Stevenson University upon receipt of the application and all required documentation. However, acceptance to the University does not guarantee acceptance into a specific degree program. Some programs, including nursing, have higher GPA requirements. Please refer to the Academic Programs website for more information about the specific major in which you are interested.

Admissions decision letters are mailed on a rolling basis approximately 5-10 business days after the completion of the application, starting in January for the fall semester and October for the spring semester.
