As summer returns to the Greenspring Valley, Stevenson University invites the public to its Summer Serenades, a series of free evening concerts organized by Professor of Music Robert J. Suggs, D.M.A.
All performances are held in the early evening hours at the Cuvilly Faculty-Student Exchange Patio on Stevenson's Greenspring campus, 1525 Greenspring Valley Road, Stevenson, MD 21153. The public is encouraged to bring picnic dinners, blankets, and lawn chairs to enjoy these free performances in the pastoral surroundings of the Greenspring Valley. In the event of rain, all concerts will be held in the Saint Paul Companies Pavilion on the Greenspring campus.
Thursday, June 28, 7:15 p.m. - Baltimore Victorian Consort
Stevenson University's resident ensemble (Robert Suggs, Jared Denhard, and Karen Welbourn) in a program of parlor songs, folk songs, and virtuoso brass solos and duets from the Civil War era.
