Nursing Scholarships and Grants

There are several scholarship and grant programs available to students accepted into Stevenson's Nursing program.

Maryland State Nursing Scholarship and Living Expenses Grant

The Maryland State Nursing Scholarship and Living Expenses Grant are offered to eligible students enrolled in a nursing program that leads to a nursing degree. The Maryland State Nursing Scholarship awards range up to $3,000 per year. The Living Expenses Grant also ranges up to $3,000 per year.

Who Should Apply?
Graduating high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher

For further information and an application, visit the Maryland Higher Education Commission website. Students who wish to apply for the Living Expenses Grant must also complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.

Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Nurse Corps

Army ROTC can provide financial support to help make the career goals of aspiring nurses possible. This program offers scholarships up to full-tuition, a $1200 Book Allowance, and a monthly living stipend each year.

Stevenson University/CollegeBound Foundation Nursing Grant

Stevenson University is proud to support the CollegeBound Foundation in its efforts to provide all students with the opportunity to earn a college education.  This grant is worth $7,000 per year.

Who Should Apply?
Students attending a Baltimore City Public High School with a participating CollegeBound program. The grant is awarded to students who are accepted into the VJC Nursing program.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Nursing Scholarship Program

In exchange for at least two years service at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses, the Nursing Scholarship Program pays full-tuition, required fees, required books, clinical supplies, laboratory expenses, and offers a monthly stipend.

Who Should Apply?
Students who are accepted into the Stevenson University Nursing program.
