Placement Testing Registration 2017

Welcome to the Placement Testing Online Registration Form. If you need to complete placement testing for Stevenson University, or would like to re-take the ACCUPLACER exam, please review the three options listed below and answer the subsequent questions to schedule your placement testing appointment with the Academic Link this summer.

Please note: When registering for your placement test under any of the three options, you will be asked to provide your Student ID. This is the 7-digit number beginning with 1 or 0 and is found in the bottom left-hand corner of your acceptance letter.

  • Option A: Testing at Stevenson University

(Recommended for all students within 100 miles of campus)

Starting Monday, July 10, the Academic Link will offer free placement test proctoring, including exam re-takes, for accepted students; see schedule below:

    • Mondays (July 10-August 28) starting promptly at 1:00 p.m. No student will be admitted for testing after 1:30 p.m.

    Advantages of selecting Option A:

    • Provides the opportunity to test for free at Stevenson University with an informed staff proctor, who is familiar with our course requirements and can review test results accordingly.

Please take note of the following if selecting Option A for your placement testing:

    • Placement testing will be proctored on the Owings Mills campus in the Brown School of Business and Leadership building (basement level). Please remember to bring a valid photo ID for identity verification purposes.
    •
    • If you are uncertain which tests you need to register for you can review placement testing requirements on our website
    •
    • A confirmation e-mail will be sent following successful registration. Please contact Philip Gillett at  or 443-352-4123 with any follow-up questions or concerns about placement testing.

  • Option B: Testing remotely at a pre-approved testing center in your local area

Students residing 100 miles or more away from campus are eligible to request remote test proctoring, including exam re-takes, at a pre-approved local area institution or testing center. Students are responsible for any remote proctoring fees incurred; and results, including English and math course eligibility, are delivered electronically 3-5 business days after testing. You can learn more about remote placement testing on our website.

To ensure there is sufficient time to process requests and results in advance of the fall 2017 semester, any requests for remote test proctoring must be received no later than Monday, August 7.

    Advantages of selecting Option B:

    • Testing remotely can provide more time and options to consider for re-testing and/or for content review over the summer if needed.
