RISE is hosting the Sadie Hawkins' dance! They are asking ladies to ask out a date to the dance. It is not gender specific to who a girl or girl identifiers may ask to the dance. They are aiming to break barriers and have fun! Tickets go on sale Monday, November 14th at the Rock for $2. There will be Jamaican food and music by Stevenson's own Mark Moody. The doors open at 9 PM. See you there!
RISE's event series continued with the Psychology of a Black Man hosted by Dr. Leary. The impassioned and informed Dr. Leary spoke about his experience while extending it to the black experience and psychology. With a high student turn out, there is no doubt that this event was a success.
Come out and join RISE for conversations regarding various topics on October 20th (Diversity), October 27th (Psychology of a Black Man), and November 1st (Psychology of a Black Woman). "Thinking Outside of the Box" will be held in the Lynn Duncan room in the Owings Mill's Rockland building from 6:30-7:30 PM. Come out and let your voice be heard!
