Ms. Betty Ciesla, M.S. MT(ASCP)SHCM, professor in the MLS program, received the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Governors Award in June for her four years of service as Chair of the Hematology Examination Committee of the Board of Certification, which reviews the hematology examinations and makes recommendations for new test items. She has also been a member of the ASCP Workshop Committee, which recruits continuing education workshops for laboratorians, and a reviewer for a professional learning product called Tech Sample.
