Yesterday, the 9 Stevenson FMI students attending the annual SXSW Film Festival with their instructor, FMI Chair Christopher Llewellyn Reed, went to see a screening of Stevenson Class of 2006 alumnus Nick Kovacic's latest film, Agave: Spirit of a Nation. It was a great event.

Yesterday, a group of 9 Stevenson FMI students + their instructor, FMI Chair Christopher Llewellyn Reed, arrived in Austin, TX, to spend a week at the annual SXSW Film Festival. This is the third such trip the FMI Department has made over the past four years. Students get to see films, network with industry professionals, attend seminars and panels, and have a great time.

Once again, Stevenson FMI students, under the supervision of Professor Christopher Ernst, have produced a "Don’t Talk During the Movie” PSA for Baltimore's historic Senator Theatre, shooting in 4K and delivering a DCP for projection before all movies. We now have three in rotation, the first from 2015, the second from 2016, and now this. Go team! Want to watch it? Just click on the image, above, to be taken to our Vimeo site, or … you can go see it at the Senator …
