Stevenson Summer Science Scholars Program (S3RP) held a “match” day to allow students who have applied to the S3RP to met all S3RP faculty mentors. The students and faculty paired up “speed dating” style to get to know one another and to ask questions about the research planned. The students will choose the faculty members whom they would enjoy working with and the faculty members will rank the students that are most appropriate for their research projects. Selections will be made based on mutual rankings. Up to three students will work with each faculty member for 10 full-time weeks this summer. Each S3RP student receives a stipend of $4000 for the summer. Dr. William Harrell (bottom, left) and Dr. Tim Dwyer (top, right) were selected to be faculty mentors this summer in chemistry.
