Senior field hockey player chronicles team's year

Congratulations to Business Communication senior Kali Martin, who was asked to chronicle her field hockey team's year for the Huffington Post. She wrote about her coach (and mother's) 2016 battle with breast cancer here, as well as the team's role in supporting and encouraging their coach and each other. Congratulations to Business Communication alum Jaime (Hershner) Elwood (center), who spent Friday the 13th talking about the customer experience at a Baltimore Business Journal social media marketing event. She serves as the chief marketing officer at Terra's Kitchen, and has extensive experience about the ways in which brands like Terra’s Kitchen are striving to be customer-centric. Alum grabs sports job in Maine

Congratulations to Business Communication graduate (class of 2017) Landon Easler, who has relocated to Maine to start his career as an assistant account executive with Shamrock Sports and Entertainment in Portland, Maine. Landon finished up the Career Introductory Program with the Baltimore Orioles at the end of the summer and then headed north to tend to clients including NASCAR, Rugged Maniac, FanBeat, Circuit of the America's, Championship Bull Riding, P1 Powerboat, and others. The Career Introductory Program gave him a chance to work with the Orioles' Board of Directors, PR team, community relations group, and the Orioles alumni department.
