Journalist Allison Girvin visited via FaceTime with assistant professor Meggen Marx’s New Media Communication class on April 21. Girvin is now a unit chief at NBC News, but has had stints at the Huffington Post, Bloomberg News and ABC News. She answered questions about the world of digital journalism, reporting, citizen journalism, and ethics in the media. Girvin, a graduate of Columbia University, has successfully transitioned between network and digital journalism during her career.
