We’ve heard from some of our December grads regarding their newly chosen career paths. Here’s a quick check-in:

Emma Ragon has accepted a job as a marketing assistant with the Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. According to its website, “Whiting-Turner was founded in 1909 on the belief that integrity, engineering talent, and a dedication to our customers would make us the very best in the industry.” Emma is shown on the right in the photo during one of her internships, this one with the Business Communication department.

Savannah Lawrence Tagget, who was married soon after graduation, has accepted a job as a marketing and public relations writer for Pivot Communication in Boulder, Colorado. Pivot Communication “creates integrated branding and marketing strategies” relying on their skills in research, branding, graphic and web design, public relations, social media, email marketing and advertising. Savannah is shown here during her internship at Bancroft Press.

Taylor Cunha is working at Aerotek as a recruiter. Aerotek is one of the top global recruiting and staffing agencies. Begun in 1983 to serve the aerospace and defense industries, Aerotek has grown to include nearly every industry. In the photo, Taylor is shown on the left during her internship at Route One Apparel.

Kaitlyn Rollyson is working as the events manager at Black Ankle Vineyards in Mt. Airy, Md. The relatively new company’s first harvest was in 2006. As an estate winery, the company is also committed to sustainability. In the photo, Kaitlyn is shown on the right during her internship at Grow & Fortify, during which she learned a lot about the wine industry.

Emily Soller continues her interests in sports as the assistant softball coach at Harford Community College, where she interned with the department of athletics. Emily has also been coaching basketball at John Carroll School. In the photo, she is shown at center during her internship stint at HCC.

Graduate Amanda Windesheim interned in marketing with HomeCare Maryland, and the company offered her a full-time job upon graduation. HomeCare Maryland is a LifeBridge Health Partner, accredited for providing home health services including physical therapists, occupational therapists, skilled nursing professionals, dietitians, medical social workers and home health aides. Matt Staud has continued his firefighter career with the West Grove Fire Company and is also interviewing for other part-time firefighter jobs while he prepares applications for accelerated BSN programs for the fall of 2017. His communication skills will guide him in his pathway to a nursing career. In the photo, Matt is shown during his marketing internship.
