SU BizComm recently connected with alum Nick Gill (’15), who received a job shortly after graduation with All Risks, Ltd. His job in marketing has him communicating about various National Specialty Insurance Programs with clients as well as fellow agencies. He’s also studying trends within the insurance industry and other service areas.
While he was a BizComm student at Stevenson, he enjoyed an internship in public relations with Lawrence Howard and Associates.
Nick is one of several Business Communication students who have been hired by All Risks. Andrew Twigg is currently the company’s Business Applications Trainer. He recently spent 17 days on the road, visiting six offices, and roughly 5,600 miles traveled between plane and car. He trained everyone in those offices on the company’s new system. Dustin Tarlow is currently an underwriter in the Brokerage unit. Ryan Pierce (Business Administration at Stevenson) is currently in the Work Comp Specialties unit and is working toward becoming an underwriter.
Four years ago, when All Risks hired Andrew, the company had 390 employees. Today it has nearly 800 and is continuing to expand. Our liaison, Stu Jacobs, continues to seek out Business Communication graduates or recommendations. We are thrilled with the success of these students in such a welcoming setting.
