On May 2, 2018, the Financial Management Association (FMA) club hosted Jonas Rodriquez-Jones, VP-Branch Manager of Charles Schwab/Towson Office. Mr. Rodriquez-Jones is a Certified Financial Planner with over ten years of financial experience. He talked to the club about careers in finance, professional licensing requirements, and industry trends.
At the same meeting, the FMA club has recognized Anthony Raspa, Business Administration: Finance student for placing first in the Spring 2018 FMA Stock Investment Contest. Anthony had a winning portfolio that under two months gained over $9,000 on his initial $100,000 simulated investment. For his outstanding investment performance, Anthony Raspa was awarded a certificate and a prize by Alex Kapusta, FMA President.
The FMA Club plans to continue the contest in future semesters, as well as put together and manage a club investment portfolio.
