Philosophy

Think about philosophy.

Delve deeper into common thought and learn more about the pioneers of the field with Stevenson's Philosophy minor. Students interested in pursuing courses in this field of study may do so either by taking a minor in Philosophy or by creating a focus in philosophy within Interdisciplinary Studies. Taught within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, courses include Logic, Ethics, Aesthetics, and Philosophical Figures.

Overview

Stevenson University does not currently offer a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy; however, students interested in pursuing this field of study may do so through the flexible major offered in Interdisciplinary Studies. Students who wish to develop a Philosophy focus should consult the program coordinator of interdisciplinary studies for more information.

A minor in Philosophy is available. Please see the Humanities and Public History department chairperson for more information. Specific information regarding minor requirements may be found in the Academic Information section of the catalog. Course descriptions are listed in the Philosophy section of the catalog.
