Nursing

At Stevenson, we believe there is more than one way to build a career in nursing. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, a transfer student, second bachelor's degree student, or registered nurse, we offer flexible programs that fit the needs of our diverse group of students.

Please select the option that fits your student type:

Currently in high school?

  • Traditional Program: This full-time program is designed for students entering directly from high school who want to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing. Students enter this four-year program as freshmen.

Have you graduated high school? Are you currently attending a college or university? Do you hold a bachelor’s degree already?

  • Traditional Program: Transfer & Second Bachelor's Students: This full-time program is available to transfer students who have successfully completed their prerequisites and/or for students with a previous bachelor’s degree who have completed their prerequisites and would like to pursue a degree in nursing.

Are you a Registered Nurse?

  • RN to BS Option: Registered Nurses: This is an accelerated program of study for registered nurses with a diploma or an associate’s degree in nursing leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Stevenson University will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for an onsite evaluation of its baccalaureate degree program in nursing and master's degree program in nursing during spring 2012. CCNE policy requires that institutions provide an opportunity for the program’s identified communities of interest (e.g. students, alumni, faculty, employers, etc.) to provide written input into the deliberations of the evaluation team at least three months before an accreditation review is scheduled. Written and signed third-party comments will be accepted by CCNE until March 3, 2012. Comments be directed to Cristina Walcott, Administrative Assistant, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 1 Dupont Circle NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036.
