Zuryna Smith '16

Undergraduate Student
Business Communication

Zuryna is a senior business communication major and is enrolled in the B.S. to M.S. program for communication studies so that she can obtain her Masters of Science by May 2017. “My favorite part about the Business Communication major is the diverse courses that are offered. We are able to take courses ranging from design to international business. All of the skills that we learn make us more competitive in the workforce and opens a lot of doors when looking for jobs and internships.”

Alongside working in the Admissions office, she is the Senior Class Representative of the Student Government Association, a Resident Assistant in the apartments, and a member of the communications honor society Lambda Pi Eta. “I feel at home here at Stevenson. I genuinely feel that my advisors, professors, and supervisors want me to succeed in everything that I do.” Zuryna also liked that there was a strong focus on career architecture and an entire office dedicated to learning beyond the classroom.
