Rojesh is an international student from Kathmandu, Nepal who came to the U.S. to study biology.
“Biology covers a very diverse field of study,” Rojesh says. “I am planning to apply to a M.D/Ph.D. program after I graduate. SU has helped me a lot in providing valuable research experience and has helped me to stay focused. The community is very friendly and everybody has a special connection to each other. Throughout my time here I have met some of the most wonderful people.” Rojesh works in the lab of Dr. Wendy Kimber investigating the role of ubiquitination gene in C. elegans and mouse embryonic stem cells, while also volunteering in a clinic where he’s able to help out health care providers and patients. Being an international student has been a rich experience for Rojesh, helping him to develop new perspectives in his personal and professional career.
