Stevenson Women’s Beach Volleyball Makes Debut, Becomes First NCAA Division III Program to Compete in Sport

Stevenson University became the first NCAA Division III Program to compete in women’s beach volleyball when the squad made its debut this weekend against Carson-Newman University at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Sophomores Annika Schwartz and Megan Hren became the first tandem to record a point for Stevenson, winning at their match against Carson-Newman’s Molly Locke and Maddie Zybert 21-18, 18-21, 17-15. Overall, the Mustangs fell 4-1 and 5-0 in the dual meet match.
